about
born from a dream
lyrics
In the quiet room
In the quiet room, you came and combed my hair
In the swell of day
In the belly of the day, you came and said
Your dreams from sleeping
And your soft brown shoes, and your rock-pool eyes
Hey Mia, don’t be lonely
And your cotton shirt, and your neck so fine
Hey Mia, don’t be lonely
In the quiet room
In the quiet room, we talked through light-soaked air
I remember
I was holding you
I was holding you, and I felt your every breath
And your soft brown shoes, and your rock-pool eyes
Hey Mia, don’t be lonely
And your cotton shirt, and your neck so fine
Hey Mia, don’t be lonely
You’re my land and sea
You’re my day and night
Hey Mia, don’t be lonely
And the sky agrees
And the sun says aye
Hey Mia, don’t be lonely

My favorite Lawson album to sleep to. it's so warm and cozy and relaxed, and it does just make me want to Sleep, Eat, Snuggle & Repeat. Very homely and comforting dillon.

Just discovered this ancient gem among the treasures of Steve's collection. Beautiful melodies, intriguing harmonies and textures and fascinating bass sounds unheard elsewhere. chorna

WTF? How was this not in my Bandcamp collection. I must've bought it from a different account before! Anyway, I've been listening to this since before it was released and a decade on it's still a spectacularly perfect collection of songs. Sounds like a greatest hits album. Literally any track could be chosen as my 'favourite'. Truly astonishing. Steve Lawson

Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
